Ascent of the highest summit in North Africa
The Toubkal dominates the highest mountains in North Africa and emerges to the impressive mountain scenery of the High Atlas. Dotted with small Berber villages clinging to the valleys, with their terraced agriculture, this hike in the valley Toubkal offers the discovery of an authentic region.

Whatever the time of arrival, day and night, a member of our team is to welcome you at the airport of Marrakech Menara. Transfer by taxi or minibus to the hotel located in the heart of the Medina and installation in a double room equipped with hot shower. If arrival time permits, free outlet in the city of Marrakech and its dynastic souks. Night in hotel.

Transfer vehicle from the trek: the village Imi Oughlad (1400 m). We met with the muleteers and cook. We begin the ascent to Tizi N'Tacht (2000 m), between junipers and oaks. After leaving our host village through the terraces topped with walnuts, apple and quince trees, we reach the bed of the wadi. Always upstream, we follow some time before rising to the right bank Tizi Oussem, the last village in the valley. Everyone finds highest around sheepfolds Azibs Tamsoult (2245 m). Installing the camp and lunch. In the afternoon, we will admire the waterfall Tamsoult. 5 hours walk 900 m positive and 250 negative. Overnight Bivouac.

We climb to Tizi N'Mazik (2400 m) by a mule through the junipers thuriferous. Neck, we take both a final view on the valley Azaden and a new view, gorgeous, over the valley of Imlil. In this valley, the crops are terraced, with a suitable irrigation system, which gives a particular landscape: the targa, top channel, defining the color of the mineral mountain of green crops, and villages are located above this channel. After the break shaded a fairly short walk takes us to Aremd (1950 m) where expected our house. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to pleasantly discover this village and its inhabitants.

Day 5 : AREMD - refuge NELTNER
Today we climb to Neltner refuge (3207 m), the gateway to the summit of Toubkal. The path follows the broad glacial valley up towards the roof of the Maghreb. After 1h30 is a large rock painted white surrounded by a few houses and shops.
5 hours walk, 1200 m positive Bivouac near the refuge.

Day 6 : Refuge NELTNER - summit of TOUBKAL – AREMD
After an early morning breakfast, the day begins in the torchlight. The route winds through the wide corridor of rock overlooking the refuge. Slope, initially quite strong, is more moderate. It's already day when we came over the crest, happy to head to the window of the mineral world: the horizon is fascinating. Since the highest peak in North Africa (4167 m), the view is beautiful from all sides plain of Marrakech, High Atlas valleys Western Siroua massif and the Sahara in the south. Descent to Aremd rest a little longer after exercise morning but the trail is comfortable, and then we have the luck with us! 8 hours walk, 1000 m positive and 2200 m negative. Overnight lodging.

Day 8 : Transfer to the airport in the day and return flight.
